Pass-a-Grille’s Merry Pier

Named after Captain Kenneth B. Merry who was a resident of Pass-a-Grille for 83 years, the historic and friendly fishing Merry Pier has been a favorite place by locals and visitors alike. Since 1902, when the Merry Family opened a general store on the end of the dock, the pier has been an key area of Pass-a-Grille. Captain Merry and his wife built it at the end of 8th Avenue. The general store was the first on the Gulf Beaches that sold bait, tools, and had rented boats. Now, Merry Pier is owned by the City of St. Pete Beach and operated by Merry Pier Partners, LLC.
